This picnic area sets at the bottom of Tuff Cliff. You will instantly be able to see how this cliff differs from other cliffs in the park. Tuff Cliff got its name because the rock that it consists of is called welded tuff, or volcanic ash that has been compressed into hard rock. This picnic area has about 5 tables for you to choose from for your picnicking enjoyment. There is also a restroom available here as well. There is not a designated trail that goes to the base of the cliff but you will see commonly used paths that lead the way through the young lodgepole pines to the base of the cliff. |
