Lodging
The newer and improved Snowlodge that stands today was built in 1999, replacing the original Old Faithful Snowlodge which sat on the same ground in Old Faithful Village. Open in both the summer and winter, the Old Faithful Snowlodge is a resting spot for thousands of visitors each year that are travelling through Yellowstone. The lobby has a modern rustic feel with the use of lightly colored wood pillars and flooring, as well as some stone architecture. Guests enjoy their relaxation by getting comfortable in a chair in front of the main fireplace. The long hallway that leads from the lobby to the Obsidian Dining Room is another favorite hangout for guests during their down time. Kick back on one of the couches or chairs in the hallway and read a good book, or put together one of the Yellowstone puzzles that are set on the coffee tables.
When staying at the Old Faithful Snowlodge, you are never far from dining services. The Obsidian Dining Room is located in the Snowlodge and serves breakfast and dinner in the summer time. For those on-the-go guests, the Snowlodge also has the Geyser Grill. A fast food style restaurant where you can grab a quick bite to eat and head out to see the park. The Bear Den Gift Shop is also located on the first floor of the Snowlodge, where you can buy souvenirs and rent bicycles. There is also a coin laundry services available on the second floor. The Snowlodge is within walking distance of Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin and quick drive to Midway, Biscuit and Black Sand geyser basins. |
