Being one of the most famous and historical hotels in Yellowstone, the Old Faithful Inn is nothing short of an architectural masterpiece. The Old Faithful Inn began welcoming guests in June of 1904 and has been a major attraction ever since. With the incredible use of logs and stone, the Old Faithful Inn sports a breathtaking lobby that is 76 and a half feet high with a grand fireplace to match. Be sure to make your reservations well in advance because the Inn, as it is commonly called, fills up very quickly. With Old Faithful Geyser and the Upper Geyser Basin right out your front door, the Inn is in a convenient location to get your activities of the day started quickly. You can have a nice meal in the Old Faithful Dining Room, grab a drink at the Bear Pit Lounge, have a quick meal at the Bear Paw Deli, shop in the Old Faithful Inn Gift Shop and have a warm coffee or mocha on the mezzanine from the barista stand, all without ever leaving the building. There are also regularly scheduled free tours where a guide will teach you about the history of the building as you travel around the Inn. Inquire at the front desk about what times the tour begins. Whether you are staying at the Old Faithful Inn or just passing through, it is definitely worth a short visit inside to take pictures and witness in person one of the most impressive log structures in the world. The nearest coin laundry is available a few hundred yards away on the second floor of the Old Faithful Snow Lodge.
