Lodging in this region
Grant Village is the southern most lodging option in the park only about 20 miles north of the South Entrance to Yellowstone. With 6 lodges amounting to 300 rooms, Grant Village sets on the shore of Yellowstone Lake. This is a great place to stay when entering the park through the South Entrance or if you're heading south towards Grand Teton National Park. The beautiful and serene West Thumb Geyser Basin is a quick 2 mile drive up the road and is a must-see if you're staying in one of the Grant Lodges.
At Grant Village, guests will find 2 restaraunts overlooking Yellowtone Lake, a general store, visitor center, gas station, and a gift shop. Enjoy lakeshore walks and great fishing on Yellowstone Lake. Lewis Lake is another popular boating and fishing spot which is located less than 10 miles south of Grant Village on the South Entrance Road. Grant Village, like many other areas of the park, collects a lot of snow in the winter. So don't be suprised if a little bit of the white stuff is still lingering around early in the summer. There is a coin laundry service available here at the lodge registration building. |
